Exploring my need to create through experimentation in various types of media
I am drawn to the tactile and often unpredictable nature of physical methods of creating, combined with the unbound possibility that digital tools have to offer. My method of working is heavily process-based, focused on the exploration of techniques, tools, and materials rather than an emphasis on the end product. I value the exchange between process and time, as well as the integrity of material and practice.
I utilize the foundation of conceptual thinking, hand-drawing, and digital processes that I gained from architecture school as a platform for experimentation with these various mediums. To me, art and architecture have a deep connection. My work in both realms has proven synergistic in my overall development as a designer.
Fashion and textile design, advertising, typography, and editorial design are other sources from which I draw creative inspiration.
